Trump is alienating our longest-standing allies (G7, NATO, SEATO, OAS) while kowtowing and praising dictators and our longest-standing hostile adversaries.

Trump promotes the interests of Russia, is building trade relations with our long-time adversaries (North Korea and Russia, and China only after they bribed him with investments in his companies [emoluments]), and alienating the United States from its long-time closest allies (Canada, Mexico, Europe), both economically and strategically, and now undermining logistical and strategic support for long-time strong allies Japan and South Korea for photo ops and empty words with an untrustworthy, murderous dictator who lies almost as much as Trump himself.

Trump, dancing to Putin’s puppet strings, apparently wants to blow up NATO and replace it with CRANKChina, Russia, America, North Korea.

There was no crisis until Trump created one. There was a problem, but it was being managed. Then Trump started the “zero tolerance” policy, which was absolutely doomed to fail and to cause problems, but he thought it made him look tough and that it would stir up his base. Instead it stirred up opposition. Then his proposed solution to the problem he created turned out not to be a solution at all. It’s totally clear that he needs to go back to the system that was in place before he caused all the trouble. With proper management, none of the families have to be kept in detention, and something over 95% show up eventually for their hearings. The system needs more judges and lawyers to expedite the hearings. But this should never have become a crisis; Trump is a walking talking disaster of his own making.

Who is Trump going to hire to work at Mara-A-Lago? Eric and Don Jr? Trump might have to declare Mara-A-Lago a sanctuary resort.

Why can’t trumpsters keep track of a couple thousand kids? Do they even want to? We have plenty of fluent Spanish and English speakers who know how to use an iPhone.

I hope Mueller has a zero tolerance for anyone in the Trump campaign, congress and business that colluded with Russia. Gitmo could prove to be useful after all.

Democrats did not have open borders. OTOH, they didn’t have babies in cages. They didn’t have the chaos going on like we are currently seeing. Trump only appeals to simpletons who seem to think a talking snake was literal but Jesus telling us to love one another was just Jesus being all metaphorical.

“Trump is making them pony up to pay their fair share”

Meanwhile Republicans borrowed 1.5 trillion to give to billionaires in the form of tax breaks, now they want cut Medicare.

    “working for fairer trade agreements”

Actually Trump is destroying existing agreements and setting up tariffs that are backfiring. Meanwhile the other countries in the world are making alliances with other and leaving America out of it while setting up retaliatory tariffs against american goods.

Trump’s tariffs on Canada softwood is making home ownership too costly.

The collateral damage from President Donald Trump’s trade fight with China could soon have some states feeling the squeeze.

China announced tariffs on $50 billion worth of imports from the US in response to Trump’s tariffs on Chinese imports, an escalation of the brewing trade war between the two countries.

Also mirroring Trump’s move, China’s tariffs will be deployed in two waves — the first covering $34 billion worth of goods coming in early July.

The Chinese tariffs are focused on energy and agricultural products, covering goods including ornamental fish, whiskey, and coal. By singling out certain goods, the Chinese are also hitting some states harder than others.

The current US President and the party that supports him are tools of the hyper-wealthy. They have have decided that the time has come to roll back democracy and re-institute autocracy as the default government. They have a common interest with the dictators and strong-men in reducing the rule of law and the voice and power of the populace, who are the only real threat to their complete control of society.

The announcement came days after Mr. Trump declared to the world that “everybody can now feel much safer” after his meeting with the North Korean leader, Kim Jong-un: “There is no longer a Nuclear Threat from North Korea,” Mr. Trump said on Twitter.

    Apparently, there still is.

“The existence and risk of proliferation of weapons-usable fissile material on the Korean Peninsula and the actions and policies of the government of North Korea continue to pose an unusual and extraordinary threat to the national security, foreign policy and economy of the United States,” read the notice, delivered through the press secretary on Friday.

NK has a ‘three generation’ policy to punish those that offend the delicate sensitivities of their dear leader (grandparents, parents, children), I guess we should be relieved that as of now our dear leader is ‘only’ targeting two.
