The GOP was separated from their values as soon as they took in the Rump.

The GOP only told us they had values; they didn’t really.

Phony, hypocritical “holier-than-thou” CONservative evangelical “Christians” who always wag their fingers in everyone else’s noses have been exposed for the money-grubbing frauds they are — they have officially relinquished any credibility on claiming to be the party of “family values” or the “moral majority” (they are neither moral nor the majority).

Family values? Coming soon — Ivanka branded child cages (Made by child slaves in China, of course)

This father abandoned his kids a long time ago, but likes to pretend he still takes care of them. The kids have all been adopted by The Democrats.

A little history… Senator Daniel J.Morrell, REPUBLICAN Senator from Pennsylvania was a wealthy steel mill owner in the Johnstown area before being elected to the Senate in 1866. Despite being a “Rich Businessman”, he also DID care about his workers, unlike today’s business owners.

In his first speech in Congress Mr. Morrell uttered the following plea for labor: “The American workingman must live in a house, not a hut; he must wear decent clothes and eat wholesome and nourishing food. He is an integral part of the municipality, the State, and the Nation; subject to no fetters of class or caste; neither pauper, nor peasant, nor serf, but a free American citizen. He has the ballot, and if it were possible it would be dangerous to degrade him. The country stands pledged to give him education, political power, and a higher form of life than foreign nations accord their laborers, and he must be sustained by higher rates of wages than those of Europe. Our industries operated by American citizens must be freed from foreign interference and organized into a distinct American system, which will exact some temporary sacrifices but result in general prosperity and true national independence. In maintaining diversified industries we utilize every talent, provide a field for every capacity, and bind together the whole people in mutual dependence and support, assuring the strength and security of our Republic.”

HOW the Republican party has changed…and NOT for the better!

To the GOP, “family values” means taking health care away from children, and making sure only wealthy kids get to attend good schools. And that’s how they treat AMERICAN children . . .

The one fact from my Sociology 101course that has stuck in my head for sixty odd years is that once a discussion has grown to 8 people, it will almost always split into two conversations. You don’t not suppose that over-population in this country has resulted in something similar?( No, probably not…just a thought. Hard for a ‘tribe’ to stick together once it has reached a certain size…)

Just to quibble over details, the MAGA voter there is showing entirely too much awareness of his situation. In reality, he would be leering through the cage bars and laughing at the thought that his plight might trigger some imagined libs.

The Democratic Party needs to start talking about fiscal issues. The conversation is constantly about immigration, minorities and LGBTQ. While these are also important, it leaves many voters thinking “what about us?” The conversation needs to include Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, and the garbage that the House farm bill approved yesterday that makes it more difficult to get food stamps. The Republican party wastes more money passing bills like that when they know it won’t pass in the Senate because their supporters are fooled into thinking that will stop “cheaters” and they don’t realize that the recipients are their neighbors and family members. When they hear “Medicaid” they don’t know that 65% of seniors in nursing homes are on Medicaid.

Trump’s family separation has revealed the GOP to be hypocrites. The Congress is as ineffectual as ever. While Kim Kardashian is “heartbroken” but no one can do anything about it.

Multiple states are now suing the Trump administration to stop family separation. Trump has reversed the policy, but no one knows what it means to reverse a policy he himself forced. Meanwhile, Republicans train themselves on not caring by listening to the audio of families being separated at the border.

There is no proof that any of this has stopped.
