Explain to the family of the nurse in Dallas who’s now infected with Ebola that this is just an overreaction.Once again, why is 0 still allowing commercial flights carrying people from these W African countries?
Because every expert has pointed out quite lucidly that blocking commercial flights will have no effect except destroying those countries economies and making it impossible for doctors and aid workers to get there. I realize that conservatives have stopped listening to expert advice on everything from climate change to the economy, but there are grownups in the world, like Obama and the CDC, who do.
And incidentally, Ebola is not what this cartoon is about. It’s about the cowardly decision of Democratic candidates to run from Obama, who is (as Paul Krugman correctly noted) one of the most successful presidents of the modern age.
I really don’t understand the mentality that is able to blame/attribute absolutely everything to the president. His power is limited by the laws of the land and do nothing Congress makes those laws. How is the “rampant” disease caused by President Obama? Can he create or eliminate a disease by executive order?
opednance: To answer your question, no. Why waste your time?
I think I’ll see if I can write a script that will process a gocomics page, removing comments by people who I add to a list. Conservegov would be first on the list. I already have a name for the script: ExciseTrolls.
By JONATHAN TOPAZ | 10/15/14 8:01 AM EDT Updated: 10/15/14 8:51 AM EDTPresident Barack Obama’s approval rating is at the lowest level of his presidency, a new poll says.
According to an ABC News/Washington Post poll released Wednesday, 40 percent of Americans approve of Obama’s job performance, the lowest score the poll has recorded since he took office. His rating is down 1 percent. The survey comes less than a month out from the November midterm elections. A large number of Democratic congressional and gubernatorial candidates on the campaign trail have been distancing themselves from the White House.
I haven’t heard of any Repulblican candidates flooding to get “W” (Mr. WMD) to endorse them, as maybe the voters might reflect on the fact that if his team hadn’t totally screwed up that operation by kicking all the military, Sunnis, and Baathists, as well as the pollice, out of the country and government, ISIL probably wouldn’t exist at all, and well, no invasion would have meant zero American deaths, and boots on the ground.
The real Ebola threat is that the disease, like somebody’s dad, was from Africa, and therefore the President created the disease, and brought it to America, personally, ‘cause you know, he’s a Muslim and African!
Ebola is just the new craze…kills less than alcohol, tobacco, obesity, and so on…but everyone is scrambling over it. Yes, it is sad for the affected families, just as it is sad for the families affected by other killers.
And now over 130 other people are on watch due to us allowing the guy from Africa to fly here. And another nurse will sadly probably die.Are we “overreacting” or justly concerned?Hey Democrats, stop telling us we shouldn’t be worried and that the government has everything under control. I’m sure if you or your kids were on that flight you might be worried.STOP ALL COMMERCIAL FLIGHTS AND PEOPLE FROM THESE COUNTRIES NOW!

Will the diseases rampant in the country (a 3rd child has died from respiratory illness), remove his successes?

Maybe they should ask Al Gore how distancing himself from Bill Clinton worked out for him.
