I read the whole story. The woman is an incredible bold – faced liar. Makes it up as she goes.

Nothing here that should disqualify her from politics though.

She could be president some day…

Since when did someone on the Progressive Left have to tell the truth? Hillary doesn’t have to. Hubby Bill didn’t until he got slapped down in federal court. Obama sure doesn’t and the same goes for his Minions of Ignorance. Why should Wendy Davis have to?

Seriously? This is about when she got separated vs divorced? I got separated at 27 and formally divorced at 29, but if anybody asked me, I’d definitely say 27 – because that’s when it ended. And why is this an issue at all?

As an actual Texan? There’s a lot that the national media has been ignoring about her little filibuster. []For example, the whole hoopla about tampons and other items being taken from bags by capitol security? What the media did not tell anyone was that they also confiscated feces and urine as well in addition to glitter and other items; turns out that there were Davis supporters who were looking to crash the special session by throwing things at people who disagreed with her. []As it is, Davis was reportedly not too knowledgeable about the bill she had even filibustered, nor did she care that she also killed three other bills (a highway bill, a juvenile justice bill, and another) by killing the abortion bill. []The fact that Planned Parenthood Texas basically responded to the law by saying “It’s not fair that you want to regulate our clinics like medical clinics! You can’t expect us to meet the same standards!” doesn’t help her case any.

MSNBC carried the filibuster. And yes, MSNBC mentioned the latest “scandal,” but gave it some context that’s missing here. If that’s the best the GOP can come up with (compared to Rick Perry spitefully taking away Medicaid from tens of thousands of poor Texans) I’m not worried about Davis.

Actually most legislatures will do this. It’s fairly common for politicians to try to tack on troubled bills to more popular ones in hopes of getting them passed.

This issue is really sad. Darren Blair is right: Davis’ supporters appear to have been trying to smuggle in items that they could throw. On the other hand, the ‘scandal’ is at best minor, at worst inflated. But since this issue ties into abortion, both sides will abandon all courtesy and common sense. It’s a shame.

If the anointed tell them what to believe, it’s better than so called “facts”, since it’s usually Kool Aid approved.

The schedule was, IIRC:1. Abortion bill2. Justice bill3. Highway bill4. last bill of the session[]By running out the clock on the session, she ran out the clock on those three by default.

Doctor Warbucks says, “I was born and raised in Texas, but gave up on the state when the Mexicans started taking over.” Do we really need to pay any attention to someone who would post such a statement?

I try not to jump to conclusions, so I will read a new poster for a while. And some of the conservatives are worth reading. I don’t read just those I agree with. I want to know what other people think.
