Yes big government does it best and they’ll need lots of enforcers. And the biggest government is the best and costs the most. Everyone will be healthier though, walking around with pointy things in our backs. You won’t be able to afford cars though. That’s just the way it is with socialism. Yeah for the Great Once and Obomunism.

“Get your filthy Government hands off my Medicare!” was the quote from one of the town halls…

and now, according to Ms. Palin, obama wants to have “death panels” where bureaucrats will decide whether or not you deserve medical care based on your perceived value of productivity (no, I didn’t make this up nor am I exaggerating)

she’s really showing her true colors now … what leadership she’s displaying on a vital issue before our country

facts be damned, Palin wants attention so fuel the false outrage over her own inventions

Howie, actually I read about Palin on an AP story, it’s also been reported by dozens of other news sources.

Do you believe everything you “hear,” including when it seems to defy belief? Palin seems to be deliberately misinforming folks on two items being discussed:

There is discussion on Medicare reimbursing physicians once every five years for counseling their patients on end of life care and how to prepare an advanced directive or assign a healthcare proxy to a family member. This option is not mandatory, contrary to lies, its purpose is to reimburse family doctors for the old-fashioned kind of “family doctoring” that used to be far more common. This benefits the patient by letting them know their rights and understand their choices, and benefits the physicians by fairly reimbursing them for time taken to “talk” to patients.

Obama has talked about having doctors share “best practices” with each other. That’s incorporating a private business model that could yield better results and lower costs. National Medicare data shows that some areas have incorporated better practices, with better results, and at lower costs for some disease management. The “reform” being proposed is to simply to share those better practices. It’s a win, win, win for all.

and back to Palin, if her intent is to run for office in the future and in the interim develop and display leadership skills, distorting information and creating false boogiemen is not the way to do it. She would be better served choosing a different course. And as a government employee, Palin has been receiving a govt plan option for her own family’s healthcare.

For those who think they don’t want reform, go see Ocean of Pearls – a film (based on a true story) put together by a doctor. Find out all those things you don’t know that your current insurance and the hospital systems can do to you if they want to.

BCs, Palin was even on the news in Europe, she said it. The reaction here was a stunned silence, as if anyone could be so stupid to make such a statement.

Humphs, wish the reaction here had been met with the same incredulity and I haven’t noticed media reporting the facts either, they just amplify her remarks
