In many ways, Nancy is showing an important trifecta for us here…..
a) she is clearly debunking Mildred’s rather pithy statement.
b) she is demonstrating how genius and creativity can be assisted by technology.
and
c) she is showing us how genius and creativity do not always equate with instant recall.
Even though more “Midred-ish” folks may suggest that Nancy is showing how she can be replaced by a computer… the more astute (like Nancy herself) realize that tools can help foster creativity, help increase efficiency, and help when neuronal firing is not as organized as desired.

Huh, I get a link to Macmillan, who suggest “stupid” or “jerk”.
I had hoped the majesty of English would be a little more in evidence.

A robot that’s capable of motion is self-driving by definition. The self-driving part is what makes it a robot.
