Okay, that’s some pretty fun use of metahumor right there.

I’m not against startles and twists on principle, but if the value of a whole creative enterprise hinges on them that’s usually a bad sign. In other words, if all it takes is a spoiler or two to make something not worth seeing, I tend to believe it probably wasn’t that good anyway.

This is so twisted and so meta that it’s not just a comic strip but a comic meta-Möbius strip. And it may be a metaphor too.

If a cartoonist’s reach does not exceed her grasp, then what’s a meta for?

For sheep to graze in?

Oops! I found an error in the Wikipedia article. Wiki states that this strip date is Nancy 11/1/2020. Yet, I notice looking up at the address bar that it is actually Nancy 2020/11/01

I’m with Nancy, but since I can’t watch horror its to find out how the story ends. Then I go down the rabbit hole about the actors, the location, the special effects, whatever and forget to watch the movie.

Everyone else has said how fantastic this set up is so I’ll just heartily agree with them! Keep playing with our heads!

The consensus of people I disagree with is that if you’ve already seen it, you can spoil as much as you want, because nobody else really matters.

The ref to Wikipedia is a nice nod by Olivia to Wikipedia finally updating the history of Nancy with a whole paragraph on the new artist/writer, which Wkipedia hadn’t done for a long time.

I saw this linked on twitter before here, and I got the scare from the eyes before I read the strip. Thinking I’d spoiled it, I came here to read the text. JOKES ON ME
