Nancy knows true change is not driven by externalities like the calendar, but comes from within- when the student is ready, the teacher appears.
A Zen master was visiting London. He went up to a hot dog vendor and said, “Make me one with everything.”
The vendor fixed up a hot dog with fried onions, gherkins, and mustard and handed it to the Zen master, who paid with a £20 note. The vendor put the note in his register and snapped it shut.
“Excuse me, but where’s my change?” asked the Zen master.
“O my brother,” said the vendor, “change comes from within.”
Lasted till 1/25? Congratulate yourself on some progress and vow to do better next year! Now to the donut shop!
I never officially decided to quit making resolutions, of course.
I made my first Dunkin’ run of the year on Jan 2.
Mr Paneltwo’s second resolution was to wear a jacket when it’s cold outside.
Nancy’s resolution was to cram in so many doughnuts that they started coming out her ears. Surprise! Also getting harder to keep.
Zippy sez…“Give me a glazed!”…..
