Sluggo is basically the social equivalent of a punching bag.
I like the little play of vulnerability in her eyebrows in panel four, before she lowers the boom.
In other Nancy crosspromotional news, I would not recommend going to Comics Kingdom at the moment due to their disaster of a redesign. If you’re feeling brave, though, today’s Popeye’s Cartoon Club (which is drawn by a number of different cartoonists to commemorate Popeye’s 90th birthday) might be worth a visit. Today’s is from Robert Sikoryak of Masterpiece Comics amongst other things.
The Soul selects her own Society
Then — shuts the Door —
To her divine Majority —
Present no more —
Unmoved — she notes the Chariots — pausing —
At her low Gate —
Unmoved — an Emperor be kneeling
Upon her Mat —
I’ve known her — from an ample nation —
Choose One —
Then — close the Valves of her attention —
Like Stone —
Perhaps Nancy aspires to the status described by Dickinson?
Or, alternatively, to be the idol of the teeming masses. Maybe the one is consequent on the other.
As in, I meant to do that.
Nancy reminds me of Lucy Van Pelt here.
Well, Nancy, you did want the truth.
Nancy is smart, funnny, … and full of yourself.
you cant have it all!!
There’s the Nancy we all know…
Nancy, you being beautiful goes without saying, young lady : )
Beauty is in the eye of the Sluggo.
maybe if you smiled more…
LIFE 101. Agreeing with your woman can be hazardous to your health. As can disagreeing.
By leaving it out, Sluggo proves he is no sycophant. And brave.
She didn’t ask.
Picky, picky, picky.
Three lies in a row is any decent guy’s limit, Nancy.
