English teacher is doing a good job.
Aww, Teach is back in teaching mode.
Wow, watch it Nancy!
Times have sure changed. If any of us talked to our teachers that way back in the day, we were sent to the principal’s office and our parents were called…
Also I forgot – 18, yeah?
Ugh, AGAIN with this insolent, disrespectful Nancy from the new cartoonist! What happened to the sweet lovable Nancy of the last 20 years that was totally in keeping with the original spirit of Nancy? Hmph, I’m marching straight over to Nancy Classics, where I can be comforted by the site of…um…Nancy slapping Sluggo, aaannnd [clicks to previous day’s strip] Nancy graffitiing a public sign.
I feel sorry for these poor kids – looks like they will be spending their entire summer vacation in a boxy, windowless room, talking in riddles. In the meantime, at least on Nancy Classics – Sluggo got to see a tree and talk to another kid about a dog!
“No, but I can tell you how many squares are in this room!” ;-)
Today’s Hi and Lois features Nancy in a church, and H&L artist Eric Reaves draws Nancy better than Olivia.
I see that the teacher has already placed Nancy in the corner because Nancy has become a litterbug.
As a teacher, I can tell you that we don’t appreciate the eye-rolling know-it-alls that this depicts. Definitely not funny when you’ve had to deal with it in real life.
No summer vacation from school for Nancy? Maybe that is why she is so crabby.
“Accursed.” Nancy may not know geometry, but she got good vocabulary skills.
18 triangles of various sizes.
Uh-oh. Nancy’s hair dye is starting to run down her face again.
I only count 10 triangles.
I am TERRIBLE at these puzzles.
18> if you number the areas from left to right and top to bottom the triangles include: 1, 2, 3, 12, 23, 123 for the top row. Then 14, 25, 36, 1245, 2356, and 123456 including the middle row, and 147, 258, 369, 124578, 235689, with all of them together, 123456789 as the biggest triangle, including all three levels.
I got 10
