A sunny morning in the Kingdom, 50+ degrees out there. A sunny on tap with am expected high of 73. (ah, welcome summer)
Well our BBQ didn’t quite come off as expected. A leak in the gas line made it necessary to go to the oven for the cooking of the chicken. It was still good. (^.^)
No parade or Memorial ceremony this morning but, the church’s Memorial Day dinner is still happening, home made baked beans is the main event, I don’t what else is on the menu.

Somehow it just doesn’t seem right to say “Happy” Memorial Day.
We don’t know of any parades or ceremonies today, though I’m sure there are some somewhere. So we’ll stay in and out of the heat. I have corn dogs and Michael asked for hot pudding for dessert, so I guess that’s our menu. I am wearing a shirt that says “Land of the free because of the brave” that I picked up at Walmart. Red, White & Blue, of course.
The pool pump got replaced and the pool cleaned out nicely for the holiday weekend. At the same time, the pool guy removed the light from the spa so he could do some repairs. It’s still out, but attached by a long wire to the hole it usually sits in.
Yesterday got up to 98. We seem to have a trend that the temp on my patio gets up to 4 degrees above the forecast. Today’s forecast is for “only” 92 so probably 96 on the patio.
