Mutt (Eneas) tells Jeff (Benitin): You still haven’t married because you don’t know what women want … you have to dazzle them.
Jeff tells Elsita: Now we can to get married..I have money, position … I have everything!
Elsita says: Oh, Benitin. I love you.
Jell tells Mutt: I suspect that Sita wants to marry me because of the money I don’t have.
Mutt says: Well, tell her how much you have, so you will know.
Jeff says: Elsita, would you love me just for me? I don’t have a penny!
Elsita gives Jeff a punch in the eye and calls a Taxicab!
(Note: The “mores” (conventions/ways) of this strip are from another century, so to speak. Mutt and Jeff was a long-running and widely popular American newspaper comic strip created by cartoonist Bud Fisher in 1907 about “two mismatched tinhorns”. It is a classic strip, and commonly regarded as the first daily comic strip, with the concept of a newspaper strip featuring recurring characters in multiple panels. The strip remained in syndication until the early 1980s and the original strips were in English. I had to look up the definition of “tinhorn,” and found that it means one who pretends to have money, ability, or influence. Is the term still in use? )

I walked early today. It was nice…I had the sidewalks to myself. A couple blocks away, at the house with the wildly overgrown yard (lots of plants, etc.), the silver pickup truck was parked in the driveway and the plastic owl was “on duty” on the roof of the truck.
Good morning, Vagabonds…
There no one here, so I read the comic again:
