Having kids helps. It keeps you from being a stay-at-home bum.

My son would like to be a stay-at-home dad. Their mortgage prevents him from considering this notion seriously.

If you’re lazy, any excuse might do.

I am almost 70 and I need to wear a sign around my neck, “Yes, I am still working.”

I was housebound with my knee replacement about a decade ago. It nearly drove me crazy and that was only for a couple of weeks.

For me, work is good therapy: it gets me out of the house and in contact with people.

A woman at home is a homemaker; but a man at home is a bum.

No.. but you do need a (dumb) wife with a really good job.. or.. have a daddy that is worried you may move back home.

Short answer, yes. You can be a househusband though. I’d suggest starting to do some housekeeping, though.

Having kids would provide motivation to not stay at home.
