Twitter, regardless of ownership, will have to obey the regulations of the nations where it’s used. And some nations have considerably more stringent regs than the USA.

How many Billions? One could have set up some kind of long-term charity fund for a lousy million or two, to help feed the poor, or provide for a much-needed medical operation.

Oh please. Twitter is hardly a fair arbiter of those things anyway.

Sometimes an orderly meeting, e.g. school board, is disrupted by people who scream and threaten, seeking to use their speech to override and quiet all those who do not agree with them. If this is what Twitter becomes, it will open the market to another venue.

I’m sick of seeing Musk’ ugly mug all over the place. Bezos had a little more grace about himself and kinda introduced us all to the new digital age through Amazon; but Twitter has become the nightmare of this social media age to the extent we almost lost America 1/6. Shall it all live in infamy what a lying lout could sell out our once proud land to a Russian “genius.” Puke thy name is Trump.

Musk is a 21st century equivalent to 20th century Jobs … more motivator than inventor. Let’s hope the final direction taken is a sensible one. Jobs also made some wrong turns. I’d feel more at ease if I knew that he prioritized democracy, equality, and honesty.

And doesn’t this mean I (and any like me…) can go on twitter all day every day to belittle and harry Mr. Musk to my evil little heart’s content? Say things close to libel, " ’m ONLY asking—?" Speculate improbabilities?

So much fear about losing a WOKE Progressive Bath House, Musk will disinfect the joint and turn it into a Gun Range. Will you fine people be able to handle Truth without the ban hammer looming over your opponents?

Folks, the 1st Amendment just guarantees that speech is free. It doesn’t force you to either read it or like it. Personally, I’ve never seen the appeal of Twitter, so I don’t much care who’s running it or what gets said on it. In this, as in all commercial enterprises, the old Latin motto still applies: Caveat emptor!

Many of the previously changes to twitter were due to being sued and to prevent from being sued. As twitter can be held accountable for what it carries on its platform, Musk may not make near the changes some hope for if he proceeds and completes the purchase.

How is it that those who are so concerned about what Musk will permit seem to be willing to buy his vehicle because it’s good for the environment? Seems contradictory unless they have another motive to make the purchase. Or are the RWNJs his buyers for some reason?

Of course, none of this will happen, but the woke left cannot stand the thought of free speech. They fear Musk will do to them what they have done to conservatives for years. He won’t, but he will make it an even playing field.
