I was driving a school bus for a small school district. We had a trans-gender girl who played on our basketball and volleyball team. She didn’t seem to give the team any edge. She endured a lot of hateful comments and remarks from other schools. The thing that bothered me the most was she was a child. Here in the Bible, Republican stronghold of North Texas she was seen as some sort of demon. I never heard any of her classmates ever being hateful to her. She was just who she was and that was that. I guess it was the children were on a level of moral plane that many adults can’t seem to reach. These trans-gender children know they are different and don’t understand why. But they are children and need the love and guidance of adults. THEY ARE CHILDREN, NOT DEMONS.
