For a spoiled, white rich kid to grow up, get made president by an undemocratic Electoral College that overturned the will of the people, with aid from Russians, massive voter suppression, a one-sided illegal reveal from James Comey (who would soon come to regret it) to then, from his gilded White House palace whine about a LYNCHING is a disgusting, insensitive, offensive affront to all the real victims of real lynchings that were perpetrated by those who shared the views and values of his own supporters (KKK and confederates).

The African-Americans who were lynched in race-driven terrorism were never given due process.

Donald Trump is being given full due process in the investigation of his crimes of SOLICITING FOREIGN INTERVENTION INTO A U.S. ELECTION (for which no quid pro quo is needed, just the ask) and EXTORTION (the shakedown, for which a quid pro quo has been admitted by Mick Mulvaney and Trump himself, and documented extensively by witnesses, despite attempts to deny it).

Right now we are conducting investigations, and then there will be public hearings and a PUBLIC TRIAL in the senate that will include confronting and cross-examining witnesses against him and providing a full defense.

Especially, since most victims of lynchings were African Americans, when we consider the shabby way Trump treated our first and (so far) only African American president, questioning his legitimacy and perpetuating the false LIE that Obama was born in Kenya, the comment reveals yet again the depth of ugly, bitter racism from a pathetic, oft-failed white man who is jealous of the EARNED success of a self-made African American, who rose from humble means all of his own effort.

Is it possible to lynch yourself? He seems to be intent on trying to make it so.

“Pastoral scene of the gallant South

The bulging eyes and the twisted mouth

Scent of magnolia, sweet and fresh

Then the sudden smell of burning flesh"

What would Lady Day have had to say at Trump’s unspeakable complaint?

Billie Holiday sang ,”Strange fruit hangin’ from the poplar tree…” google it, YouTube it, do whatever you have to do to hear it, if you want to understand “lynching”.

Emmett Till & untold numbers of black folk and other POC were lynched in this nation’s ugly history. Nobody’s “lynching” the POTUS*(sic), no, sorry. No comparison.

Of course there’s Mussolini … now THAT was a lynching.

Trump’s lynching comment was an ill conceived move on his part to gain the black vote. Black folks who know only too well what a real lynching is all about won’t be fooled.

He has said that he is the Second Coming. If so, when do we get to crucify him?

Hung by his own petard.. is more apt.. Hoist with his own petard" is a phrase from a speech in William Shakespeare’s play Hamlet that has become proverbial.

I think that Trump believes that if he can stir up race riots, he can used them to counter any impeachment efforts.

My fondest wish is not that Tiny be lynched or burned at the stake, but on live TV stripped, covered with very hot tar, dipped into a vat of feathers and ridden out of town on a rail.

Can we cool it with the explicit revenge fantasies? They are not-cool to the point of being Republican.

“[T]he invocation of “lynching” to characterize a process explicitly sanctioned by the Constitution marked a new, racially fraught show of malice by the president toward lawmakers’ drive to remove him from office.” (emphasis added)

I suppose he feels the process explicitly sanctioned by the Constitution is just as phony as the emoluments clause.

Someone needs to explain to the Nitwit-in-Chief the definition of lynching. He wouldn’t still be destroying America if he were lynched.

Funny how the guy who demanded that five black men be put to death for a crime they had been exonerated of now complains about being “lynched”.
