Honest religion and honest politics do, as rare as they are. You need both science and religion. Otherwise you have religion without reason and science without morals.
Trump’s next four years can be summed up: “I don’t care” we know this man, he will pout, retaliate and whine his way through the next cycle and all of the superior Trump supporters will pretend they are okay with it while they whine about Democrats. Yawn, let’s hope they don’t destroy the country as bad as W did.
You can have morals without admitting you have a religion, you can even have a religion while denying God exists, but you can’t have morals without a foundation for them, and that foundation is your God, whether you admit it or not. Thomas Huxley did not invent the term “agnosticism” to mean, “duh, I don’t know whether God exists or not”, but rather that God can neither be verified nor falsified by the scientific method, so stop wasting your time on what is essentially a faith statement and use the scientific method for what science can explain. It is vast and you will never run out of things to do with it.
I probably shouldn’t say this here, but there is evidence that morality is an inborn biological characteristic of social species. You might say that it is a necessary characteristic of social species, that is, the defining property of social behavior. Religion then becomes the expression of that characteristic, so one might consider religion to be a derivative of morality, rather than the other way around. Given the great diversity of religious belief, this seems to me to be a reasonable cause-effect order.

Scientists, women who say he raped he raped them, anyone who speaks the truth. Only Trump’s lies are true, all other truths are lies.

Those who deny climate change are just not being honest. They all know it is a fact, but must rationalize their greed.
