Aren’t we all? This has to be the October Surprise that changes the outcome of the election, if people in the affected states can make it to the polls or, reasonably, if they can’t take the time given the immediate needs of restoring things to normal.
This is the idiocy of the Right that never fails to dismay me. Privatizing FEMA (or any other Federal agency simply adds another layer of administration.
Of course, the Con’s mantra is that ‘The private sector can do it cheaper.’ A week ago I ordered parts from a company in another state. The Post Office (a quasi-government operation) got me the parts in 2 days for $2.75. UPS wanted over $6.00 to get me the parts in three days.
Have a problem with your memory? The Republicans wouldn’t raise the debt limit, almost throwing the country into default, so both parties agreed to designate a group of legislators to solve the problem. If they couldn’t agree, there had to be a penalty for both sides. Republicans sabotaged the talks because they wouldn’t give an inch on any tax increase (including the expiring Bush tax cuts). Even the credit ratings agencies blamed the Republicans. Check and see how many Republicans on the panel voted for the plan. Your idea of intransigence is that Democrats do everything that the Republicans want, even to swallowing poison pills.
I’m amazed at the lies MItt is willing to tell, but more amazed that anyone on the right is stupid enough to believe him, on ANYTHING any more. Then I read our little group working hard on the title “Mitt’s Morons”, right here at this site, and I"m not just amazed, but stunned that such stupidity exists. Are these folks allowed outside without a guardian, or at least a service animal to keep them from playing on the freeway?
Many “righties” dislike Obama so much that they would rather support a liar that clealy doesn’t have the integrity to be President. I can understand why the 1% supports Romney. I can’t find any other explanation for why the other 46% does.
This couldn’t happen. Mitt doesn’t answer his own door. He pays people to do that for him, and they are his employees because they don’t let facts get in their way.
I’m with you. Now the comics are equal: one with Obama screaming, now this one…. although this one is more true, methinks..@Orthodox Catholic Do you ever think without your religion getting in the way? The US Government is a Secular Democratic Republic. They have to make policies that go with All religions or none..I’ll wait until you get your head out of your rectum…..
I think what we have here is an old debate technique called “spreading”. The idea is to talk so fast and spread so much crap that the other guy simply runs out of time to refute it. Then you claim that he didn’t answer all your charges.Look for Republican ads featuring auctioneers

So what, the problem still exists. Would you prefer they do it like the rest of the government and put in IOU’;s they never intend to repay.
