The GOP leans far too heavily on being the Party of Lincoln, leading voters of color to ask “what have you done for us lately?” Vote for the party of empty promises, or the one that seems to actively hate you?
ah yes, those stupid black people. If only they were smart enough to know that voting for rich white republicans would solve all their problems. Must be nice being an ignorant cartoonist where you can just fantasize about everyone doing what you want them to do leading to world harmony.
"You do realize that the LARGE percentages of Republicans voted for the CRA don’t you? "Yes, I do realize that. Thanks for asking. Do you realize that most of the Democrats who voted against the civil rights legislation eventually left the Democratic Party and joined the Republicans?Yes, Robert Byrd voted against it and remained a Democrat. He later expressed regret for voting against it and regret for joining the KKK. Strom Thurmond voted against civil rights legislation and left the Democratic party in protest over party leadership supporting said legislation. He later became a Republican like most of the other Dixiecrats. While his views on race seemed to have softened somewhat over the years, I’m unaware of him ever expressing regret over voting against civil rights legislation.

Shanbo, first… breathe. Your brain is not getting enough oxygen if the best argument you can come up with is “idiot.” Let’s dismantle your comments one at a time, shall we? - I never refuted that it was a democratic president who suggested the CRA. But it was his own party that had more resistance to it. It was a comment to disprove an argument above that republicans (at the time) were against the CRA. - As to the Bush mistakes? I wonder how long it’s going to take the next president to clean up Obama’s blunders. But more importantly, are they going to incessantly whine about it like Obama did? The “But Bush” meme has been worn out. Did you hear Reagan complaining? Or Clinton? No. Obama diminished his position when he and his ilk complained about Bush’s actions, or actions that were blamed on Bush but put into motion over a decade earlier.- The ISIS uncovered a chemical weapons plant in Iraq that still had chemical weapons in it. Or did you miss that? Of course you did, because you only watch liberal-slanted media and that doesn’t fit their narrative.- I wish my story were false. I wish my sister-in-law didn’t just move in last week with her idiot boyfriend with no future. I wish I didn’t have to see her flushing her future down the toilet with that guy. He gave her an STD, no less, and she still loves him. As to 900 a month? I never said he can live off of that, but I can tell you it’s $900 he doesn’t rate. There are many people who are fully capable of working that are abusing the SSDI system because they don’t want to. If that $900 were coming out of your pocket, when you know he’s perfectly capable of working, would you be happy about it? Why should I be happy about someone stealing resources from a system that is borderline bankrupt, and from people who truly need it? - You also must have missed the part where I said I don’t support corporate welfare. But that doesn’t fit your blinders-based view of the world.

Insanity: Doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results- Albert Einstein.
Yep, that about sums it up for this toon and for a lot of the low information voters that continue to vote democrat.
