Sheldon Adelson, the guy who signs Ramirez’s paycheck, makes a huge amount of money operating a casino in the Chinese territory of Macao. You can count on him not to say one word critical of China’s human rights record or supporting liberty in Hong Kong. And you can count on Ramirez not drawing one line critical of Adelson. Because, you know. paycheck trumps principle. And that’s OK for right-wing hirelings.
At least it’s not a complete and total rip of the NBA logo like Stiglich and Gorell yesterday.
As a US ticket buying fan, I don’t give a crap about their china market.
Yet Ramirez has no condemnation of Trump tweeting, “Congratulations to President Xi and the Chinese people on the 70th Anniversary of the People’s Republic of China!” In one of his comics, a few days ago, Ramirez condemns, and credits Xi for saying that, but nothing about his god, Divine Donny, tweeting it. You can’t spell hypocrisy without Mikey Ramirez.
I’m sure Ivanka’s voting machines that are made in China won’t be hackable, nudge nudge, wink wink.
Now Ramirez cares about police brutality. Of course, the flip is true for NBA and the players. Oh what a crazy sad little world.
Stop picking on those rich republican team owners who value money above all.
