I’ll take the bait —
John Kennedy died tragically 56 years ago, an American hero and martyr, beloved by one and all [after his death], praised for his keen intellect, bold policies, and commitment to civil rights.
He committed America to her longest war, [an unjust intervention into Vietnam’s revolution for independence] and lost.
He placed offensive nuclear missiles on the border of Russia, prompting Russia to do the same in Cuba. His response to the Cuban missile crisis brought the world to the brink of destruction. Russia did not “back down” as we teach our children, rather we agreed to remove our missiles from the Russian border and they from Cuba.
The American blockading ships dropped explosive depth charges on a Russian nuclear submarine. Returning fire required the consent of all three senior Russian officers on board. Two of the three agreed to use their nuclear weapons. Had the third Russian officer agreed, John Kennedy would be remembered [if anyone survived] as the man who destroyed the world.
John Kennedy was a good man, the last of the 20th century’s gunslingers. His brother Robert was a better one. Three of the candidates running for the Democratic presidential nomination have always exemplified the best of Bobby Kennedy’s ideals – peace and social justice – and are more than able to fill the best Kennedy’s shoes.
Back then men were men! Back then there was bipartisanship, back then …….is gone….! Now, today, it’s catering to an ignorant, greedy, irresponsible cowardly, pretend president, who’s kissing the ass of Nazi leaders, for self gain, and power.
Am I supposed to be able to recognize any of these caricatures? In any case, I’m sure that Ramirez is under instructions to try to troll the Dems into divisive behavior. I’ll be voting for whichever candidate wins the nomination, though I prefer Warren right now.
Sorry that the Dems and Liberals have let Trump set up permanent housekeeping in their brains. Don’t worry, in another 6 years you will have some other straw man to obsess about!
