In the 2018 elections more people voted for Democrats in both the house and senate elections – bit the Republicans kept the senate because the seats that were contested were favourable to Republicans and also because the nation is divided into a few large “blue” states and many small “red” states. It would be logical and fair to say that the American people want the Democrats, and only the Democrats to be in charge.
