to imply any association between these two is an insult to President Washington. Washington led a revolution against a tyrant, Obama wants to lead a tyrannical government.
Yes, some of Obama’s critics are racist. But not all. Not, I believe, even the vast majority. Along those lines, it also smacks of bigotry to say he’s doing well as President because he is black. And yes, there are some of his supporters who base their support of him on that. Not all. Not even many. But a few.
Obama is a terrible president. Maybe better than Bush, but that’s saying very little. The bigger issue is the two parties who have both utterly failed at this point to represent the vast majority of Americans. Neither party can produce a good candidate. Neither party can compromise. And neither party is willing to go beyond name calling.
Amazing folks absorb the mythology of “The Acting President”, and all the scandals and outright criminality, and spying on citizens, and illegal wars on foreigners and our own citizens, and the double dealing in that initiation of the “War on Drugs” when his AG was one of the biggest dealers. Yes, one still must go a long, long, way to beat the Reagan administration for scandal and corruption. (But Reagan’s folks had GHW to pardon them after their convictions.)
