If you list the Firsts in space exploration, you see the Soviets had most of them, including the first satellite, animal, man, woman, and space station. The USA has the satellites that have traveled the farthest from the sun, the first men on the moon, and the first martian explorers. This hardly supports the claim of ‘Exceptionalism’ by a bunch of pompous windbags and one rather average cartoonist.
