This strip has made me laugh (I didn’t want to, it made me!) over and over again.
It is perfect. Today it was “Miriam” that got to me.
Miriam arrives at work daily in a crocheted sweater from her aunt and comfortable shoes. Miriam works 30 hours a week so they don’t have to pay her benefits, but she’s in charge of prepping the sword of Isis when it’s ready.
She knows exactly where it is and kept it oiled and sharp.
After Evelyn heads out the door, Miriam’s back to the solitaire game she was half-way through.
