The best way to change that is to vote out most, if not all the current Republicans, and not vote for anyone that doesn’t believe in a functional government.
It’s been hard to get anywhere around DC for decades… but partisanship has more recently stopped progress inside government offices once you’ve managed to get there.

That’s what it looks like to me on (my) bad days. But there are times when I can see a little actual progress. Occasionally.

DC doesn’t look like a regressive, tribal, 3rd world, country, but it certainly does behave like one.

Things haven’t changed all THAT much…they have just become a bit shriller. Here are some examples…
“I don’t make jokes. I just watch the government and report the facts.”
“Be thankful we’re not getting all the government we’re paying for.”
“If you ever injected truth into politics you have no politics.”
“A fool and his money are soon elected.”
“This country has come to feel the same when Congress is in session as when the baby gets hold of a hammer.”
“There ought to be one day – just one – when there is open season on senators.”
All quotes from Will Rogers, who died in 1935. Think about it…
