That’s the problem with making rules of operation. At some point in the future, those rules are going to bite you.

Hate to say it, but I have always seen Schumer as more ambitious than action-oriented.

Schumer needs to start acting.

The Senate minority seems to want the death of the filibuster.

I thought Mitch McConnell dropped his demands about repealing the filibuster?

We need the filibuster repealed. It benefits the reactionary white minority more than anyone else.

Ditch the filibuster. We need to be as nasty and craven as the repubs.

Joe Manchin of West Virginia and Kyrsten Sinema of Arizona are the two Democratic senators who are blocking the Democrats from getting rid of the filibuster. Without it, the Democrats would be able to pass laws with a 50% vote, could ignore accommodating the Republicans and we could actually accomplish something. Their reasoning is that once the filibuster is gone, the Republicans would do the same thing once they were back in power. But, what’s to keep them from doing it whether the Democrats do or not? Democrats need to kill the filibuster, start fixing the country and make so much progress without the Republican obstruction that the voters never want to vote Republican again!!

I don’t see where there could be a fire he’s all smoke, no fire !
