The GOP critters just don’t have what it takes to lie as effectively as the orange mistake… but they’ve watched him do it successfully for so long that they seem bound to try it.

They will tell us that it does no good to hold him to account — just like they cry that holding a young white rich rapist to account will ruin his life so needlessly. They wanted to lock Hillary up for…. being Hillary. They sow division at every corner and then whine when someone questions them.

I guess to them “unity” means unifying within their party to sweep this sh*t under the rug. Pitiful, and treasonous.

The democratic coalition held trials and executed the Fascist leaders for their Crimes Against Humanity at the end of WWII. Who is going to be held responsible for the dead of January 6th?

Sorry, Mr. Wuerker, the Republicans are making no effort to sweep it under the rug, just leaving it strewn all over the floor for people to trip over.

Republicans are in a position where, after having turned a blind eye to corruption, thievery and abuse of power for five years, they have to deal with a process that will again force them to stand up and admit that they were complicit with every evil thing that * did by voting to let him off.

I just can’t understand why the remaining so-called moderate Republicans don’t want to impeach the psychopath and get rid of him for good. Yeah, it’ll take some backbone and courage to face the insurrectionist group of traitors. They nursed these seditionists, conspiracy believers, and white supremacists. Up to them to shove these dregs of society back under the rocks from whence they emerged.

Their lives were on the line that day, they wanted to hang the VP and assassinate others. As the days have passed, more footage showing how awful it got, 5-6 dead, extreme damage done to a government building, done two weeks prior to his leaving. How many lies and destruction does the GOP need? It’s unconstitutional because he is no longer president, so a murderer shouldn’t be prosecuted because the victim is no longer living?

To Rad-Ish’s above comment, but I want others to read this also: . .I just read about an Alaskan pol, Jamie Allard, who has “3REICH” as her license plate, and other Alaskans who have similar Nazi plate themes. What gets me about all these swastika-waving loonies is that they obviously have no idea what Nazi ideals (if they can be called that) entail, for the victims as well as those who embraced Hitler’s ideology. Again, all this shows a total lack of education, and even a general knowledge of history. Ignorance and bigotry lives on!

Healing and unity begin when the criminal conspirators attempting to violently overthrow the US government and destroy the foundations of American democracy are held accountable – and that includes the elected officials that were aiding and abetting them.

Just unbelievable. Clinton got impeached for lying about an affair, and for some reason lying about national security, a pandemic, + too many to count, and encouraging and committing sedition that threatened the lives of those very Republicans that are sweeping it under the carpet isn’t enough.

Yeah, and the gloating and schadenfreude tweets by Steve Bannon the day before the riot kind of torpedo the desperate “conservative” claim that it was Antifa ruffians pretending to be Trumpskies. Or does that apply to Steve Bannon, too? Oh, yes, and then there are all those sworn statements made by people arrested at the riot. Another problem for makers of desperate excuses.
