Except for the “No masks” isn’t just your body. It’s also the bodies of anyone that’s come into contact with your maskless body.
C’mon now… you know that conservative rules are meant to apply only as rich white men wish to apply them…
The idea that the government can make laws about what goes on inside our own bodies to coerce someone to reproduce against their will is patently ridiculous.
The idea that the government can make laws about what goes on outside our own bodies to coerce someone to observe public safety is common sense good government 101.
I don’t mind if the don’t wear masks provided that they don’t exhale, sneeze, cough, expectorate or propel other fluids or solids from their bodies.
There will never be agreement concerning Roe vs Wade. Our government is meant to be secular. And, although the United States was conceived and constructed by Christians, based on Christian ethics, Madison, Jefferson et al stressed separation between the Church and the state. As I have said before, it is easier for us men to pass judgement on the choices women are faced with. We can walk away from the issue. Woman cannot. For those who disagree on moral/religious grounds, be satisfied that there is a higher court which renders final judgement. In the meantime, leave Roe vs Wade alone. I know I’ll catch hell for this post. I am not totally comfortable about abortion, but I fear the continuing ever-widening schism, about so many issues, that if we do not slow down and LISTEN TO EACHOTHER, we may reach a point of no return.
Right wingers are vicious control freaks.
Abortion is a heartbreaking, often guilt ridden decision that will haunt those involved forever with wondering what if or what if not. It’s the most personal individual decision…..leave them alone to make it.
Nicely twisted. You can bet that neither will accept the validity of the other’s point.
Protesters outside the local Planned Parenthood Tuesday. A PP where they do not perform abortions. That PP prevents more abortions in one day than a lifetime of praying would.
Excellent. This cartoon makes a point. However, his choice affects a lot of others, hers doesn’t.
I am neither pro life or pro choice. I am pro get the MAGATS out of my life.
Excellent illustration, Mr. Wuerker. A few questions: Do you agree with me and other commenters that there is a false equivalency here, given that wearing a mask is about protecting others? Or are you three chess moves ahead, inviting the argument that pro-choice decisions ALSO affect more than just the woman? And while I like her smile, wouldn’t she be wearing a mask?
Cool connection, Mr Wuerker.
Yes, but LADY PARTS are involved, which changes everything.
