Very personal where as bombing is impersonal and horrible in what it does to the men, women and children they destroy along with the buildings. USA over all!!!! Really?
It certainly bothers me that our moral outrage is being blocked by greed based on peddling the death of fellow humans. Time and again the weapons we sell for short term gain ending up being used against us or long term allies, and the excuse that “if we don’t, someone else will” just adds to the feedback loop.
‘Nam vet, son was Iraq and elsewhere, “defending our nation”, by killing women and children as “collateral damage”. Our ability to call one death a crime, while thousands die more horrible deaths. Oh, wait, they’re only horrible if someone ELSE kills them. After all we’re like Christian Zionists, “God’s chosen”, so killing for God is good. “Gott mit uns”, ooops, that was Hitler and the Nazi regime.

Nixon’s ‘secret plan’ was to nuke North Vietnam. The hippie war protesters made him stop.
