It is what people wanted, or they wouldn’t keep voting for the Republicans. On a totally unrelated topic, what is this latest case the Supreme Court is working on?
The domestic terrorist organization known as the National Rifle Association finances the political campaigns of ANY politician who’s willing to sell their soul for money and they “score” politicians on “how” they vote! This allows the “Gun Nuts” among us to see how they should vote and who they should praise or condemn! Now, anyone can ‘play’ but, usually only republicans are dumb enough to cosy up to this particular type of domestic terrorism – and those that aren’t are usually scared ‘spitless’ of being primaried to offer any resistance – so the killing goes on, unabated!
And, no, people, the 2nd Amendment DOES NOT give any mentally sick moron with 2 bucks in his pocket the right to buy a gun! The 2nd Amendment gives the American people the “Right” to form a “well-regulated” militia (like the National Guard!) to protect America, since the framers of the Constitution so obviously DID NOT want a permanently standing military! This is a wonderful example of what happens when supposedly intelligent men let ‘idiots’ decide what they meant! It NEVER end well!
And, yes, I AM SO SMART that I know what the framers of the Constitution actually meant! How can I claim that? Simple. I am schooled in the english language. Technically, only an imbecile cannot understand what the following sentence (the first in the very short Amendment) means, taken in it’s entirety: “A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.” Awkwardly phrased in modern-day english but still very direct and lucid.
This country has gone nuts in the last 20 years. I grew up in a country where no one carried handguns around unless they had a permit (rare – usually given only to celebs and people who were required to carry lots of cash for their business), or were criminals. You could automatically report someone with a gun as a suspicious character. Now these idiot males (far and away more males do this than females) carry guns out in the open, or in their cars, or on their person, and*none of us can feel safe anymore!*
