Term limits have done nothing where instigated except increase the power of lobbyists and corporations, who are always there as the inexperienced legislators turn over. If you want change, we need to publicly fund elections and ban ANY contributions or other bribes. Can you imagine a business that would allow one of their suppliers to pay the salary of the acquisitions department, because they think it would save money? The US taxpayers should be smarter than that.

Term limits in Ohio have been nothing but an excuse for legislators and office holders to move up and back. One state senator term limited out, went to the house, and then back to the senate. Meanwhile the lobbyists are the only ones with any “institutional” memory, so they can move legislation through with few questions.

Since some want to do away with the Post Office, there won’t be any need for Hallmark or American Greetings. Mail ’em while you got ’em!
