Got to think about this one…..what’s the solution?

Wow, how much ignorance can one cartoonist put into a cartoon. This is bulging at the seams..Ever wonder why the housing market was never in trouble until left wing legislation took over?

Republicans and TEA party types need to refresh memories on the difference between the touted “free market”, and the result of deregulation by “conservative” administrations and Congress’s: FREEBOOTER!

The free market is free indeed, but be warned that it is based on human pulsions, therefore, it changes like the tide. There is nothing more unstable and it has no ethics (christian or any other), no values, no nation (american or any other), no compassion.

I read an article on house flipping and the housing bubble and remembered my high school economy class; the basis of economy is need. In speculative bubbles, everyone buys things not because they want or need them, but because they expect to resell them at a higher price later and make a profit. Eventually, somebody somewhere come to their senses and realize that nobody wants or can afford those expensive things and the prices crash.

It is what happen when buying is driven by greed and not by need.

Also, I think there is certain ceiling a society reaches before going into a boom and bust cycle. In today’s western society, all our basic material needs are pretty much taken care of; food, plenty of it. Clothing, we have it. Guizmos to keep us entertained and in touch, we have plenty of it. We have so many, hoarding became a major problem. A tip corporations use to make us buy things we already have it the trend. We now buy things more because of their advertised image (apple is a fine example of that), not because we need them. In the end, we use material things to fullfill psychological needs. It’s psychologically damaging and there again, the economy is separated from its motor, need.

Vote for the GOP and get more of the same.Thank you sir, may I have another…

Are you saying the Supreme Court, the Judicial Branch, isn’t conservative? Citizens United was a liberal decision?

asaid… just saying the Judicial Branch we have now is considered more conservative than the Rehnquist court and that was leaning conservative. In your previous post you seemed to forget that the Supreme Court, the Judicial Branch, was a branch of government.

It’s not quite apolitical, consider the 2000 presidential election was decided by them.
