The Trump/Covid-19 disaster. Just something else the Republicons will pretend never happened, just like 01/06/21.

I will point out (though responsible people already acknowledge this) that if the Trump administration had just followed the series of steps outlined in the Obama Guide to Response to Pandemics (yes, such a document DID exist, Trump just used it to level a table!), then we would be on the other side of the whole pandemic issue – just like Australia, New Zealand, Singapore and so many others that did it the right way!

And recriminations at this stage does absolutely NO GOOD AT ALL (except it makes makes ME feel better – even Cassandra got a certain amount of satisfaction upon the fall of her beloved Troy!)

So continue to wear your (doubled) masks, social distance and understand that EVERY PERSON you observe NOT wearing a mask (there is NO medical excuse for NOT wearing on in public, no matter what they avow!) is doing their part to extend the agony of not being able to get back to normal, whatever that might be!

“Thank you for calling. Your call is important to us. All our representatives are busy helping other people. Your call will be answered in the order it was received. The estimated wait time is currently two hours and forty minutes or you can press “1” to leave a message to return your call in the order in which was received. We currently have two thousand calls to return from yesterday. "

The “hold time” might not have been so long and severe if the previous administration had taken it seriously a year ago…

It takes time to immunize a large enough percentage of over 300 million people.

Perhaps we’ll be back to near normalcy by next football season.

Boy, won’t that piss off the Trumpistas!

Where “when I can” is approximately May to September. Welcome to Oregon, where we haven’t even finished with the medical personnel.

The former guy in charge said Covid would disappear last spring, or early summer. He said after November 7 that no one would mention Covid again. More Americans have died from Covid than we lost in WWII and VietNam combined. That’s 12 years of war.
