Why anyone would buy his BS about the difference between what he did with health care in Mass. and what the Dems did is beyond me. He has, rather transparently, developed a post hoc explanation for the key differences between his actions and the Democrats’.
In MA, the governor actually does very little to initiate legislation, so Mitt’s claiming credit for it was always a stretch. Then he made a big fanfare about signing the bill while vetoing the funding a couple of days later.Mitt’s always been more about show than substance.
The unconscionable barrier is insurance company profits.Affordable health care for everyone inherently not profitable.Everyone doesn’t get it, or it isn’t affordable, or it’s nonprofit.Pick one.
Real healthcare reform would save vast amounts of money for Americans. We pay 50% more per capita than the second-most expensive system in the world (the UK, which has true socialized medicine – single payer would be better), and still don’t cover a large chunk of our citizens.
We agree in principle Motive but the devilis in the details. BTW: Due to a divorce, I have no health insurance currently. It has not changed my views on what the nation needs.

There’s a lot more “snow work” than just show.

Neither is a solution we can afford. We are going broke. We need to find a way to supply health care without going broke.

I love watching him try to justify Romney care while demonizing Obama care.
