But wasting and consuming is seen as a right. People hate Carter like he was a war criminal just because he told suburbanites to stop acting like four-year olds in a candy store and spend a little less. They love Bush because he told the exact opposite; “Go shop”.
^Its all up to what gets the tax breaks. If we gave breaks on cleaner energy alternatives people would be making and creating cleaner ways of moving around. But instead, we’re giving tax breaks on gas guzzling s.u.v. (as much as $25,000 lifetime of the car as depreciation for a small business) for being “light non-commerical vehicles” weighing a little above 6,000 pounds.
