It is a shame Patterson won’t run. He has his head on straight and doesn’t kow tow to political machine. Which is why the dems are throwing him to the wolves. I was hopeful that he could turn things around. Instead, we will get another political dynasty and lots of finger pointing.

Witness tampering, obstruction of justice, misuse of state troopers are three good reasons why he shouldn’t run.

Maybe he and Palin can run together in 2012.

reasons, of course one is innocent until proven guilty. But if this story is correct, Paterson doesn’t deserve to hold the office no matter how good his policies are. Today I understand the head of the state troopers resigned. Yes, there is more to come out, but it sure sounds very untoward at this point.

reasons, I agree with you about Dean, I agree with you that broadcast media especially is little more than political theater these days, featuring conflicts, hyping extremes and turning governance into a new form of gladiator fights in the coliseums.

But it an egregious misuse of power to use state troopers to try to convince (intimidate) a domestic violence victim to change her story to protect a friend. And to do so multiple times begins to smack of obstruction of justice and witness tampering. Two state officials have now resigned (actually, one retired) over this. It doesn’t “appear” wrong, it IS wrong.
