All too true. Besides the fact that #45 has said 10,000 EASILY disproved lies just since getting “elected,” which should be sufficient reason to wonder why he is still in office, he has said things that are either deranged or frighteningly ignorant, or both (a minor example: e.g., “trade wars are good and easy to win”); enough so that people are questioning his sanity.
As a 73-year-old man in poor health (we know he wrote the ludicrous statement his doctor signed) with a poor diet, of course we should question whether he is in full possession of his faculties. Indeed, he probably thinks so too, considering how often he has brought up the subject about his political opponents (a good indicator of what he is afraid of in himself or what he has done).
Even if he is fully sane and cognitively competent – something that I, as an expert (indeed, an authority) in executive assessment, have serious questions about – then we can question the rabid racism of his statements and actions, and his flaunting of the laws and the Constitution of this nation, which only continues because he is being protected by “Moscow Mitch” McConnell, who is documented to having received monies from (and acted on behalf of) Russian oligarchs. And while we’re at it, we can question how #45 has attempted to destroy our relationships with the Free World, cozying up to dictators and killers instead.
The “Dean Scream” was a favorite of Bruce Tinsley’s for years. Any time he wanted to depict Democrats as cray-cray, he’d re-draw Howard jumping up and down while roaring like a madman. Sometimes I wonder how Tinsley depicts Donald Trump in his strip Mallard Fillmore…but never enough to actually trash my eyeballs with it again.
I love how the commentators in panels 2 and 4 might well be the very same people, just a bit more aged. (Or am I just missing the point that they represent two particular identifiable broadcasters?)
I suppose this isn’t just a variation on “in my day blah blah blah” because it seems to incredibly much more different. But we live in the age of the internet, when perceived reality (by those who aren’t perceiving it directly) changes as fast and fully as the motion of a school of fish… so I’m afraid we will need to either learn how to damp that effect (my preference) or surf on it (seems to be what the younger folks do).
Putin has contaminated some of the arctic and who knows how much of norther Russia trying to develop new “First Strike” weapons capabilities. Weapons that are designed to Kill Americans and destroy our weapons systems BEFORE we can launch a counter attack. Putin has told his people that the purpose of these weapons is to destroy America and has even created videos of HOW these weapons would kill us and How they would be impervious to Missile defense technology.
We have Watch Putin invade and Annex his regional neighbor in Ukraine, and Now he wants to be let back into the G-7 so he can create more wealth so he can create more weapons.
This is the Guy that Trump is advocating for when he tries to negotiate Russia return to the G-7.
Got a kick out of all the flap over the “Dean scream”, especially after meeting Howard on numerous occasions and finding the DOCTOR quite sane, if overly exuberant on occasion. Comparison to Bonespurs just proves how totally insane Bonespurs actually IS!
The national conversation is dominated by The Powers That Be, that mysterious force or group that smears Bill Nye, Ralph Nader, Jimmy Carter, Howard Dean et al., for showing original thought with passion.

I was watching the original Broadcast Live and the only thing you could hear was the Crowd Cheering.
The Audio they played over and over and over later on was Doctored to separate out the “Scream” from all the Supporters cheers.
