Ok, total left wing socialist bleeding heart here… and I have to say that I don’t really have a problem with this. People were storming the border. What did they expect? What made them think they could just rush the border without repercussions?

Seriously. Why wasn’t something done to prevent this from happening? Couldn’t the US Government have sent some sort of delegate or social worker or something to go down and intercept the migrants and explain to them “Hey… you know this plan of yours… it has some serious flaws. If you want to apply for asylum, here is the process. If you want to sneak in, you will be stopped.”
I think the people in the caravan have some unrealistic expectations of what they can accomplish. I just wonder who put those unrealistic ideas in their heads. And why nobody tried a polite diplomatic “fair but firm” explanation of how things really work.
You’re right! Their stategy was flawed! No one in their right mind would try to ‘sneak in’ to a country in a group of 5000 + fellow refugees….. But..they probably had to sneak OUT of the last country in order to stay alive.
But…..who is the main person who is actually instrumental in forcing all these people to escape their home country, in the first place? Who is doing the killing? Someone is! Would you go back if some despot was going to kill you and your family or put you in jail for life?? You doubt that story? you don’t believe their stories?? 5000+ people can’t be wrong.
