Actually, groups like Mothers Aganist Drunk Drivers and the NHTSA are now little more than irrelevancies. The same goes with much of what government wants to do today..Let me explain: Yes, drunk driving and accidents are bad. So is domestic violence. Having reasonable laws to address those problems, guns in the hands of crazies the problem with mass shootings in the news, are all laudable.What isn’t is the extremism of a ZERO TOLERANCE mentality towards these problems that many, and apparently you Adrian, suffer from. No matter how safe you make cars there will be accidents and deaths from those accidents in some cases. Banning all cars or making them so expensive in the name of safety that no one can afford one is no answer to the problem.Drunk driving is the same way. Making it a captial crime with a life sentence and instituting prohibition will not stop it from happening.Draconian laws on guns and banning ownership entirely will not solve the problem of crazy people mass murdering their fellow citizens.What we need is common sense recognization that there is risk in life and accepting a reasonable level of risk in our lives to not only enjoy living but to not live in fear of our own shadow..Society needs ADULT responsible men and women, not politicians and sheep.
