High fructose corn syrup is more than just “corn sugar.” Several studies show that high fructose corn syrup is actually worse for you than the refined sugar it replaced in many manufactured food stuffs. It might be “fine” when consumed in moderation as the old commercials used to say, but it’s in damn near everything.
