Eesh, Bors —aren’t you going a little overboard on this? The Economy is going forward, even though right now it’s at a snail’s pace.Besides, Romney reminds me too much of the Shrub, and I have never voted for anyone in that family, nor will I vote for anyone like them!

At least this is playful. Compared to, oh I don’t know, Lisa Benson?

Right. Though I remember Dick Cheney making the case over and over that if Kerry or Obama was elected, there would be terrorist attacks on our soil, because they’re such pansies. It’s worth pointing out that the Democrats have a much more effective foreign policy than the neocons did ever did (though they did kill Saddam and hundreds of thousands of innocent Iraqis, which is something I suppose). And Romney did explicitly say that he wouldn’t attack on Pakistan’s soil without their permission. Maybe he would have — but he explicitly said he wouldn’t.

It seemed like a gutsy move to me, to send forces into a nuclear armed country that isn’t that friendly to us.Obama isn’t acting as idiotic as Bush did, prancing around on an aircraft carrier, so the right-wing pundits have to resort to character assassination to make him look bad.

“narrowminded”: I"m sure glad nobody was injured by the “shock and awe” that led to that “mission accomplished” sign. Oh, right, what’s a few thousand innocent civilians as opposed to a mission that actually got only the target and his immediate associates. Let’s carpet bomb another country(or two), to fail, and call it “success”.

Obama is against the private sector "&“Then Obama is going to use this money to buy more Voltz. Ge is reached the limit when it come to tax breaks. so they can not buy any more Voltz. So Obama must prop up the GM unions "

Isn’t GM in the private sector? It’s a mystery to me how you decide which industries are good and which are bad. Oil and gas, housing, aircraft manufacture, farming and all the other industries that get tax breaks, loans and subsidies are OK.But not the Chevy Volt, even though it’s made by American workers.Too bad all the tax breaks, loans and subsidies to the green economy have either ended, or soon will end. Then you will have to come up with some new mental gymnastics to hate people who work in green industries.

“The problem with conservatives is getting them to accept that an electric vehicle is not necessarily a left-wing environmental plot,” Lutz said. “They see it as a product of the Obama administration and a product of the green movement, and this is the result of government mandates. It’s taken on a symbolic role in the right-wing media as everything that’s wrong with Big Government, and yet, the vehicle was conceived by private industry.”Former GM Chairman Bob Lutz.

Even I think Bors goes a bit too far on this one. I wouldn’t have drawn a corpse, yet I kind of feel like that’s what he became in american politics in the last ten years; A terrorist, a mass murderer, an enemy, a prey in an infotainment reality show that puts Hunger Games to shame…

Yeah, what about it? I know all that. He was an idiot, prancing around in a flight suit. That’s why the Gop isn’t even using him in the campaign. They might as well use Putin, he’s good at dressing up and acting macho.

When reading that citation, you should pay attention to the way the white house kept revising it’s statements. Also look at what Rumsfield said; “I was in Baghdad, and I was given a draft of that thing to look at. And I just died, and I said my God, it’s too conclusive. And I fixed it and sent it back… they fixed the speech, but not the sign.”The “mission acomplished” phrase was in the original speech.

No, but if the mission had failed and the seals had been killed or captured, Obama would look like Carter. Gutsy move to take that chance.
