DoDo, If the country needs to cut back spending, this means cut back on civil service jobs too. Then, what does it mean, it means that Corporate America has the responsibility to create more jobs – DAH But they are too greedy to do that.

I would like to patent a new device to inflate tires. But, it would be impossible to improve on Barack Obama.

Actually, patent reform is a very good idea.

But it would be better if Obama were a liberal and was willing to fight the Republicans. But, instead, he’s a closet conservative more interested in positioning himself just to the right side of whoever he’ll be running against next time than in producing the best response to the economic slump.

A time machine is just the vehicle the right needs to take us back to the nostalgic ’50’s (while ignoring the realities of the 50"s).

^You mean like 91% maximum tax rate, building infrastructure, like the interstate highway system, and actually building a country; instead of Republicans willing to destroy the country for “political gain”?

A politician, no matter which side, is a lying sack of crap. I just prefer the lying sacks of crap that care about the environment and children and education and the middle class and ending corporate welfare and on and on and on…

Bors is spot on about the timidity of President Obama and his Wall Street economic team. What we need is a huge dose of Keynesian spending on federal programs to create jobs on the New Deal model. Don’t hold your breath waiting for it to happen. On the other hand, if the Republicans capture the White House next year, we’ll get to see what a second term for Hoover would have looked like.
