Three days remaining to connect with Ben.

So the dream is over and we’re back to the ticking time bomb that is Bernice Halper; Will she ever talk o her brother or go on a rampant from clock tower?

Some people do remember there dreams.

Rookie mistake – Luann wants details, not denials.

Will she get back to Ben? If this dream is any indication, I think not.

Ben was just an excuse to get Luann and Bernice under one roof. Ben is now disposable.

Just like Jack looks after Bernice’s dream. Yeah, she wants him, but as 1212 and others pointed out, she knows Luann has dibs on him.

And yet, Luann has tossed him aside. If, as a result of Bernice’s dream, Bernice tosses him aside, as well, well:

Jack is the new Pru of this strip.

Until G&K toss him aside, too.

This is why you should have recorded bernice sleeping. Can’t deny audio evidence. But then luann would have to watch Bernice EXPLODE over her recording her while she slept: privacy and boundaries.

Bernice must be panicking, wondering, “What else did I say that Luann might have heard?”

I have soda crackers that have more fiber

Nancy gave her the frigging book. Only she has the right to ask “What did you dream about? A frigging ripped merman? Like I always do?” (I bet Luann had to hear teen Brad’s dream-speech. Blech.)

Was there more to the dream? Did Monstro lure Jack back to Bernice?

Well, Bernie looks rested and relaxed. As if she just got back from a Caribbean vacation with her beau. Always better to lie when you are rested and relaxed, Bern – you can remember your lies better when you are not all jangled up.

Meanwhile at Jack’s house, he is waking up after a night of not dreaming about Bernie.

Oh,oh. She remembers the dream!

Bernice – “No, No, No. I said “Coo-Coo, Ca-Cajoge.” Also, I didn’t say “I’m yours.” I said “I-buried-Jack.” Uh, I MEAN, “I-buried-Paul!” It’s from an album called the “Magical Muscular Mystery Tour,” by this 60’s supergroup called the Beatles or something. The song is called “I’m the Walrus,” I think. In a later album, one member of the group named John Lennon, sang that the “Walrus was Jack. No, Paul! “The Walrus was PAUL!!!. I mean…..,”

Luann – “Uh, huh. I see. Let me get out my phone. Now. Would you like for me to play it back for you?” ;)

Luann, an actual FRIEND says what’s on her mind, instead of being completely indirect or playing games. Just go ahead and say “I heard you sleep talking like crazy last night… and when I say ‘crazy’, I mean it!”

Must have been a good one if Bern remembers it. I usually forget dreams immediately upon awakening unless they are really, really awful….or really, really good. Must have been a doozy of a dream. LOL

I talk in my sleep all the time.

I’ll bet Bernice will rearrange her room today so the bed will be on another wall.

Will Bernice ask Luann leading questions about her (Luann’s) relationship with Jack, testing the waters ( hah! an unintended joke!) about Luann’s feelings toward him?

Bernice can try to deny what she said in her sleep. But Luann has heard and understood everything. This looks like the perfect time to stop running away and finally have a heart-to-heart conversation about herself with her best friend♡. Or continue to deny cowardly becoming more and more ridiculous/sad to see.

Meanwhile Jack awakens after a restless night thinking that something fishy was going on last night!

Looks like someone awakened well rested. Great posture this morning. Got the kinks worked out last night. And a nice deflection to an early morning intrusion.

It’s gonna be a great day!

Here’s hoping there was some “Bloob” action.

Some think that the arc about Bern’s problem with seeing Ben has been interrupted. but these story lines are related. Both have to do with Bern over analyzing everything to the point of complete inertia; freezing in place. She will not be able to casually visit Ben without fear of un-met expectations until she works out her expectations and feelings about Jack. Jack was trying to get her to go with the flow a bit more. The dream said that that not only does she need to do that but she can lose it all if she doesn’t.

Yes Bern you’re human!

LOL, A simple, yeah I was dreaming about people and horrible grammar. would have ended the conversation quickly. Luann would never venture down that road.

Luann has no idea that Bernice is attracted to Jack. Bernice is ashamed/ embarrassed by her feelings for Jack. She should just get 5 cats now and start her spinsterhood.

Luann is factually stating what she heard Bernice say in her sleep last night. She is not being nosy or judgmental, just giving information. Bernice is being odd, like usual. A normal person would ask what else they said and talk about the weird dream they had.

“I’m so bored” vs “I buried Paul”

Talking in your sleep sucks. You say things you wouldn’t say normally. My sophomore year college roommate said he knew I was gay from something I said in my sleep before I came out to him. He didn’t tell me about it before I came out because he didn’t want to out me if I wasn’t ready. Which was nice of him, but ever since then I am paranoid about what I might say when I sleep with someone else in earshot. Especially paranoid that I maybe haven’t been told about something I said. I went on a camping trip in the mountains where I shared a cabin with a bunch of guys and I was nervous about falling asleep.

Nice to see them have an open, honest conversation as usual! :D
