Those of us who are pushing the planting zones need those incandescent lights, especially in blue, which puts the least intrusive light into the night when we’re trying to sleep. Those and a frost covering will keep our orange trees alive in a freeze and all the nurseries tell their customers to buy them. Right now it’s 33F out at 10:30 pm and it’s 60 degrees under the multiple layers of frost covers and two strands of incandescent blue lights on my mango tree. Which has a ton of tiny new fruit on it—it’s happy.
