Fun fact: They had to put strobe lights on top of school buses because they are INVISIBLE!

Back then (well in northern climates anyway), schools started when it was almost the autumnal equinox!

I lived in Marin County for ten years on a road that dead-ended at a middle school. It was crazy to watch all the SUVs go down the road driving one kid to school, while the school buses also had only one kid. And, of course, the moms had to honk hello to each other in passing, right outside my house.

So these people are supposed to be smiling while driving in a school zone traffic jam?

Don’t hurt innocent animals. Drive responsibly. Some dude from MD hit a 9 year old, in a crosswalk, she had the walk sign and he had the red light. He has over $19,000 in unpaid traffic fines in DC alone. He should not be allowed to drive. Ever.

When I head downtown, there is no route that doesn’t go past a school. So I have to watch what time I choose.
