And once again, here goes Lisa Benson, who took a few college classes, dropped out of higher education, yet insists on putting her political illiteracy on full display by demonstrating that she has no concept of FREEDOM, whether FREEDOM of speech or free enterprise.
Lisa clearly does not understand that freedom of speech means freedom from GOVERNMENT’s ability to restrict the free exchange of ideas, information or artistic expression. Lisa has no clue about the FACT that a PRIVATE BUSINESS has the freedom to set its own rules of participation.
The same TrumpubliKKKons who are always whining about LEGITIMATE regulatory oversight of business activities to protect consumers, workers and our shared environment, are now whining about the fact that PRIVATE BUSINESSES have the right to set their own rules of behavior and decorum in the operation of their business activities. There may be many legitimate concerns about the operation of Big Tech that cry out for protective oversight, but setting their own public comment standards is not one of them.
And in any case, even FREEDOM OF SPEECH, guaranteed by a First Amendment that includes NO RESTRICTIVE WORDING (such as, say, the “well-regulated” restriction of the Second Amendment), is still seen to have limits: one cannot INCITE VIOLENCE, INCITE REBELLION, engage in defamation (libel, slander, etc.), commit fraud, commit false advertising, commit perjury or yell “fire” in a crowded theater.
