The two recently indicted knucklehead fixers who work for Rudy are the real keys to the black box. Someday someone will be able to make a good movie out of this whole mess. Money filtering in from the aristocrats in Venice. Intriguing.
It is amazing that seemingly coherent people who aren’t total losers— they have at least graduated college and landed some sort of respectable job, are still climbing onto this sinking ship. Wonder what they think they are going to get out of it. It can’t be money. Trump doesn’t even pay his subcontractors; he just declares bankruptcy and leaves them hanging. Prestige? Trump has none himself, so how could he bestow it. Genuine belief in Trump’s innocence? I did mention they at least had enough brains to make it through college, which is a way higher bar than figuring out that Trump is guilty. And if they can’t figure it out on their own, he did announce his guilt on the White House lawn. The only thing I can figure out is that they plan to be leaders of what’s left of the Republican party after this whole mess is over. That’s making the tenuous assumption that Trump runs out of busses to throw people under and they manage to stay out of jail themselves.
