Sorry, Lisa, but I LOVE the reduced cost of my Health Insurance when I go see MY SAME DOCTOR! THANKS, OBAMA!! Matter of fact, my monthly premium just went DOWN about $60 a month!
Ms. Benson is entitled to her ill-informed, misguided opinion![ After all, she may think that health care is an entitlement, like clean air and safe drinking water. ]
If we’d had the ACA when my cousin developed CHF, he’d still be alive. As it was, he couldn’t afford the doctor visits OR the meds. Dropped dead in a grocery store at 63.
Personally the ACA benefitted me, probably not true in the states that put ideology above well being. I do not do well with this tax reform in its current state, Trump however does …
" …. at the very least, two independent estimates came up with immediate savings in the low tens of millions of dollars. Even if the actual savings for Trump end up being a small fraction of that amount, that would be more money than most Americans make in a year, and more than some make in a lifetime.
Lisa has to yell “Squirrel!!!” Trump Jr goes before the House Intel Committee today and Pence is being added now to the Flynn investigations. There may be some glimmer of hope today!!!
I am surprised that any of the elected folk would consider approving this without seeing trumps tax returns, just to see how (or if) it benefits him. He.. (the trump)has said it will hurt him financially.. so prove it
To a Republican, a bill that helps people is garbage, to a Democrat a bill that helps corporations at the expense of the people is garbage. That is why we have two parties, right now the regressive GOP is helping the rich get richer. It is what they cheated their way into Washington to do.
Lisa, ACA was discussed for over six months and it included several provisions from Repubs but they still voted against it. Rightwing Heritage Foundation came up with the mandate idea in the first place when presenting an alternative for “Hillarycare”. Grassley was all for it, stating this was people taking responsibility for their healthcare. But as soon as Obama included it, the Repubs changed their minds.
.The POS tax cut bill from Repubs was put together by a handful of white men, then presented to some of the Repubs in Congress, and handwritten notes were being passed as the vote was progressing. CBO, other ratings organizations and economists have scored this as garbage.
