Now all he has to do is enforce the laws against conflict on interest, foreign emoluments, nepotism, lying to the public, and we’ll all be happy with him and visit him in jail.

Regionally, confidence in the rule of law is highest in Asia, where nearly two in three adults (65%) express faith in their judicial systems and courts. In no other region do more than half of residents express such confidence, with overall figures from Latin America (35%) and the countries of the former Soviet Union (28%) among the lowest in the world. … "

The law(s) (all of them) have such a wide “grey” area enforcing becomes difficult. We.. have all taken a pen or paper clip from work.. jaywalked or exceeded the speed limit. Discretion is the fuzzy difference.. and at the moment the trump team does not seem to have much.

I think that when the “rule of law” applies unbiased to all segments and the 99.9% and the 0.1% sharers of wealth, all races, religions, ethnic backgrounds, sexual orientations, are subject to the same rules and punishments, there will be much more respect for “rule of law”

“The Golden Rule” may not be a “Law,” but it doesn’t seem to mean much to many of the CONS that post in GoComics!

Trump changes the law then pretends he is “just” enforcing it. Good luck enforcing other laws when you scare the victims and witnesses into not helping the police. When are we going to start being great?

The lawless left only wants to enforce laws they can use on the right.

The law is not supposed to apply to the left.

    Especially immigration laws.

Just what makes Mexico exempt from laws that apply to the rest of the world?

An easier and cheaper way to enforce immigration law would be to prosecute those who employ aliens not authorized to work here. If emplyers (like Trump hotels for example ) were heavily fined and/or imprisoned for employing unauthorized aliens, the flow of illegal imigration would cease.

Oh, silly ole Lisa. Draws quite well, but has no idea of how the real world works. Listen, Lisa, all people in executive positions have to manage resources. They have to make decisions on what is priority. Let’s take immigration, for example. We only have so many ICE guys on the ground, so many immigration courts. A decision must be made. So a WISE (I’d underline that, if I could) president would gather evidence, consult experts. Who do we need to deport first. How many at a time can we handle. And then, based on the evidence, make what is called an “executive decision”. A wise president needs to be man enough to understand that, as Mr. Lincoln would say, “You can’t please all the people, all the time”. Lisa, Ms. Benson, Trump is wrong. You’re obviously smart enough to see that for yourself. You’re obviously smart enough to see that Trump really isn’t even the problem. Neither was that Obama guy. The problem, Lisa, is Congress. We need immigration legislation. Obama was pushed into executive orders, he was pushing back against Congress’ failure, and YOU, madam, burned him for it. Now the idiot Trump is doing the same thing Obama did, and you point your talented artsy-fartsy fingers at US, like it is OUR fault Trumps is screwing up. Lisa, grow up, shout the truth. The problem isn’t US, or Trump, or even that Obama guy. The problem is the lame, dead-ass Republican led, cowardly Congress. You’re gonna do this job, do it right. Expose the problem. You’re too good at this to be doing such a poor job.

I’m waiting for the rebound. You know, the consequences for alienating Mexico. It will result in negatives for the United States if better avenues for foreign workers aren’t sought, as well as thoughtful improvements towards legal immigration. Stigmatizing immigrants is an unfortunate American heritage that Trump has sadly embraced with Bannon’s aid.

Illegal immigrants have fathered a few conservative Congressmen if you bother to look, and Trump hasn’t been shy to employ them Lisa!

@shoppersmiths, “Liberals” seem more cognizant of the Law (and the Constitution) than are Trump and his aids when writing Executive Orders.

Lisa, be sure to let everyone know when ICE inspects a Trump construction site.

    Or a Trump hospitality venue.

    Or a meat packing plant.

    Or a WalMart.

Or any of Puzder’s fast food ‘restaurants’.

    .

    You know, enforcing the ‘law’.

The TDS crowd responses here are ridiculous because they can’t defend the practice of ignoring immigration laws because they don’t like them.

Espionage Act, NEPA, Civil Rights Acts, numerous others they’re out to violate or erase, yes it would be nice if Donnie’s folks considered following the laws and Constitution, but indications so far are they have no intention to.
